Jinka - Hoppegarten

For Jinka's "Hoppegarten" I wore three hats — DP, gaffer, and key rigger — which is exactly how I like to work: a small, tight team where I'm involved in every part of the image. We built a full 360-degree dolly track around Jinka and spun continuously around her as she performed. I love getting my hands on new gear and working through the problems it throws up, and this rig was a good one to solve. What genuinely surprised me was how much dynamism the track gave us once Jinka started performing off-axis — the moment her energy broke away from the center of the circle, the whole frame came alive.
